What is your power of belief?

How strong is your power of belief? Do you believe that your minds are stronger than your bodies? Do you believe that H'shem created a physical force that allows your thoughts to change reality? Before you read further please write down the answer to these questions.  There is no right or wrong answer.  This is an exercise to make you think and focus inward.  I am a first believer that if you do not have the answers to these questions it will be one of the biggest factors in your ability to reach your goals and grow in every area of your life. I will answer from my point of belief without fooling myself or you: 1. I believe there is no reality other than H'shem , and when the world trips and confuses me, I have a much easier time refocusing to recognize that the stumbling block, issue, crisis, and struggle H'shem put in front of me is Him communicating with me. I will grow, succeed, and become stronger only because of this situation. It is a constant struggle,...

Where your thoughts are

As a project manager and life strategist, I often meet the most interesting people. I walk into every situation with an open mind and one desire: To help whoever I have in front of me reach their goals in the most optimum way. A new client I had the privilege of sitting down with today asked me, "Where do you draw the line?" Unsure of the context, I asked, "In what sense?" He repeated, "Where do you draw the line?" I looked at him and said, "I wake up every morning and ask H'shem, 'Please let me work for you.' I work for Him and no one else. My guideline is the Torah and my boundary is Halacha." I am a big believer in where your thoughts are and where you are. You cannot fool me by how you look on the outside or the actions you perform in public. To know yourself is to know how you think of yourself. Change your mindset, Change your life. Photo by Jay Bhadreshwara on Unsplash

Real or Synthetic Grass

I had a client call me yesterday in tears . A single girl, the oldest in her family, shidduchim here and there.  She had a horrible time over chag. It is hard at this stage to find your place. Everything her siblings and cousins said threw her off. She was in tears. When she was ready to get down to doing the work, I broke it down into three options: 1. Can you change someone else? No. If her siblings and cousins wanted to be nasty, trying to educate, punish, or get them back would only fuel the flames. 2. If you "ignore" them will you feel better? No. The problem is still there and you are just trying to pretend it is not. 3. What if you become synthetic grass? You see, if you water synthetic grass, it will not grow, and if you pour vinegar on it, it won't die. The only way to protect yourself from someone else's comments is to build myself. The more comfortable I am with who I am, the skin I'm in, and where I'm at, I can recognize that other peop...

What is your natural reaction to Failure?

What is your natural reaction to Failure? Do you blame or learn? Do you get stronger or weaker? Do you become angry or determined to grow? Want different results? Don't try to force new actions. Look at your thoughts first. Our thoughts are like the source code of our behavior. They drive every action we take. When we want to change an outcome, most people jump straight to changing their actions. But that's like trying to change a program's output without updating its code. Start with your thinking. When your thoughts shift, new actions follow naturally. Think → Act → Result The outcome you want begins with the thought you choose.

NOW WHAT???

Shavuah Tov , Everyone. As is customary to say after Sukkot at the beginning of the winter season,   "Healthy Winter." Some of you have asked,  "What's next?"  More than ever, that question holds deep meaning. We were all hoping the holidays would end with our final Geulah  and an end to the constant bombings and fighting. Unfortunately, today is not that day. We continue to hear heartbreaking news of more tragedies. On a personal level, while the Chag was hopefully full of good times,  it may have also taken a toll on our relationships, waistlines, and wallets. We are all trying to balance the good with the difficult . How do we accomplish this, and what role can I play in helping? I am B'ezrat Hashem committed to continuing to help navigate you through the days, weeks, and months ahead. Whatever tips, strategies, inspiration, and information I can provide, B'ezrat Hashem I will. You are always welcome to reach out,  and B'ezrat Hashem, together w...

Is the sky smiling back at you

Soooooo.     I haven't sent the chore charts because I am trying to relieve the pressure.   Chutnikim you are up for another three-day Yom Tov.  Israelis you're trying to figure it all out, dogging sirens and on a million war chesed groups.    I really want everyone to focus on what this Chag is about.     You will have enough food! Your succah is shiny enough.   But are you happy inside?   Can you look up at the sky and feel it is smiling back at you? Photo by  Leohoho  on  Unsplash

A few things to Consider When Planning Your Yom Tov Meals

A few things to Consider When Planning Your Yom Tov Meals 1. Limit New Experiment s- When feeding a crowd multiple times a day, familiar options are better than time-consuming new recipes. Stick to tried-and-true dishes for stress-free meal preparation. 2. Focus on Fillers, Not Sweets- Offer substantial snacks between meals instead of desserts. This helps maintain stable blood sugar levels, preventing energy crashes and excessive hunger. Plan for real food to keep everyone satisfied and balanced. 3. Master the Art of Repurposing- Get creative with leftovers. Turn roasted chicken into chicken salad, or transform leftover hamburgers into taco filling. No one needs to know it's repurposed, and you'll stay ahead of the game. 4. Include Everyone's Favorites Make sure each family member has a beloved dish on the table. When I serve a meal, you'll often hear my kids asking to pass "M's kugel" or "S's fish." By including these personal favorites,...

The Importance of First Impressions: Organizing Your Entryway

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by disorganization , constantly berating yourself for being one step behind? Many people believe that if they were more organized, their lives would be significantly easier. While there's truth to this, it's important to recognize that organization comes in many forms. Some individuals thrive in what they affectionately call their "organized mess," feeling uncomfortable when things are too rigidly structured. However, most people can appreciate walking into a clean, inviting space that is aesthetically pleasing and has a natural flow. Consider why hotels and upscale residences invest so much effort in their lobbies. There's actually a science behind it: first impressions matter. When you enter an unkempt or unclean space, a sense of uneasiness often settles over you. Conversely, stepping into a clean, well-arranged area that smells pleasant automatically makes you feel better. This principle applies to our everyday lives as well. Ste...
