Why do you avoid the things you know you should do?
Your subconscious pleasure brain is trying to "help" by steering you away from anything that feels like pain or discomfort. It's protective, but it keeps you stuck.
The solution: Click on your thinking brain to override the automatic avoidance.
One method: Count backwards from 93. This neurological interrupt activates your prefrontal cortex and puts you back in conscious control before your pleasure brain talks you out of it.
Another method: Take three deep breaths and ask yourself, "What would my future self want me to do right now?"
Stop letting your subconscious drive. Choose your thinking brain instead.
