Personality typing can be exciting - much like visiting a fortune teller... until they tell you a future you don't want to hear.
Let me give you insight into my mind. When a new study emerges, a revolutionary method, or a great discovery, I find it fascinating - (as you may know, I'm an information junkie). However, my first instinct is to verify if it aligns with what the Torah says, because that is, and will always be the only truth. As the Midrash teaches H'shem opened the Torah (the blueprint of the world represented by the Vav in H'shems name) and created the world and MAN, so if you want to understand how it works, go to the source.
It has never changed and never will.
When you get evaluated, diagnosed, or "discovered," you begin to believe what they tell you.
That you are bound by your personality, horoscope, even mazal.
I'm sorry, but that's NONSENSE. When Am Yisroel received the Torah they were now able to change their Mazal through their actions. Your personality has all the seven sefirot within it dominated by the three and you each individually have one dominating above them all.
Your Hebrew given name also holds your personality within it. Each letter has a negative and positive character that you can harness.
You see it all depends on you and the choices you make.
If you don't believe in yourself, rest assured that I do, and so does H'shem.
If you have a dream or want to accomplish something, it means someone has planted within you the ability to achieve your dream -
IF AND ONLY IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND STRIVE FOR IT.
There is no ego in believing you can be the best at what you strive to achieve.
Be humble in your achievements but use the gifts H'shem has given you to serve Him with pride.
I have seen tremendous success when someone is ready to harness their ability to achieve their dreams.
Rav Dessler:
Three basic forces exist in man... Each one is different in its origin and character
Chessed, Fear of GD (Gevurah), and Truth (Tiferet) Generally a person's character is based mainly on one of the three dominant forces we discussed above... His first act should be to discover and recognize his dominating quality He should then try to develop and perfect it and remain true to it to the best of his ability. But he should not be satisfied with this There are other qualities hidden within him and to reach his full potential he must try to develop these too (Strive for Truth Lech Lecha)
